We are a lullaby, an everlasting song
Taken as prisoners to a place where we belong
If the tune stops, I will not wake oh no
Without us I am no one, my soul swells and aches

So on the day
When the music dies so will our love, there'll be some pain
But I'll keep it in my locket
If you'll lead the band, then I will have to follow
There is no escape for me

So play on
Keep me dancing in the air
Play on, No one else they can compare
Play on, to the harmony of our sweet rapture
Play on, you have a supernatural flair
Play on, push me further than I dare
Play on, Play on, so play on for me

So if this melody should stop or fade away
The oceans will drain out and the stars disintegrate
It's like voodoo, I've lost all my control,
I look into you, you make me rock and roll

So on the day
When the music dies so will our love, there'll be some pain
But I will keep it in my locket
If you will lead the band, I will have to follow
There is no escape for me

So play on
Keep me dancing in the air
No else can compare, play on
To the harmony of our sweet rapture
Play on, you have a super natural flair
Play on, push me further than I dare
Play on, play on, play on for me

Keep me dancing in the air
No one else can compare
To the harmony of our sweet rapture
Play on, you have a super natural flair
Play on, push me further than I dare
Play on, play on, play on for me

Candide, by Voltaire ...

is like one of the best pieces of literature out there.
And I'll stand by this until Voltaire himself tells me otherwise.

When I was younger, my grandmother would tell me that
a lady was always graceful, beautiful, delicate and delectable.

I think I am just now starting to figure out what she meant
by delectable.

I'm absolutely delicious, and intoxicatingly anonymous,
that's the best part.

Bloggin'

Dear mainstream lady,

"Kinda dumb long and boring."
I could get into the "classic" material that she brings to this video,
but she destroys it trying to bring it to a demented modern stage.
I feel like she's not being herself anymore more, she's centering herself
too much in being "different".  The fusion of pop and art is her forte, but honestly it's turning to mush ... and this comment is coming from an art critic.

I have to get into the rhythm of writing again.
As much as I used to.  I really miss my intellectual counterparts because
of the rich debate we used to passionately defend.

It was great, and I miss it.
Pretentious, yes.
Ostentatious? never.

My thoughts exactly

"Taking pride in something that is completely out of your control and irrelevant to who you are  such as your very recent ethnic background is just pathetic.  It indicates a lack of personal accomplishments and a sick undeserving sense of entitlement based solely on what you and your parents happen to look like."
